Friends of Pusch Ridge Golf -- Past Events
The Friends of Pusch Ridge Golf is an active group of volunteers that strive to
-
Promote interest and activity in all levels of golf at Pusch Ridge Golf Course, especially for youth and seniors
-
Serve as a liaison to the Town of Oro Valley Council, town staff, and the golf course operators/managers
We fulfill the above by hosting and supporting events, meetings and providing newsletters. Highlights include:
Grand Pre-Opening Event
The Friends hosted 160 golfers and lunch participants in a fun-filled day on October 30, 2021. There were two scrambles and a western BBQ luncheon. Event planning began in early spring 2021 and included bi-monthly meetings with the Town of Oro Valley and Indigo Golf representatives. This collaborative event was supported by over 28 event-day volunteers, 30 Partners, and local TV and media coverage. Read more about it here.
Cactus Garden Renovation
The Cactus Garden on the 1st tee at Pusch Ridge Golf needed some tender loving care to get it looking awesome for the Grand Opening. So, 15 volunteers worked over two weekends to weed, clear, trim and plant the area. Read more about this event here.
Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble
The Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce organized and hosted a golf scramble at Pusch Ridge on December 17, 2021. The Friends of Pusch Ridge participated in the event and helped to promote it to others. Read more about it here.
Practice Nets and Mats Installation
The Friends of Pusch Ridge Golf donated and installed two (2) golf practice nets complete with hitting mats to the Town of Oro Valley and the Pusch Ridge Golf course. Read more about them here.
Open Meetings and Newsletters
