Re-Build it, and They Will Come!!
160 golfers and lunch participants shared the excitement on October 30, 2021 when the Pusch Ridge Golf Course re-opened for a Friends of Pusch Ridge Golf day of celebration.
And, what a celebration it was!! It literally took a village to pull off this anticipated event.
The Board and Advisors of Friends of Pusch Ridge Golf are very grateful and appreciative to all those who helped make this event a success, including:
The professional work of the Indigo Golf team, partnered with the Town of Oro Valley, to get the course ready for the opening.
Indigo General Manager Bernie Eaton and Head Pro Mark Thesing and their support team who helped players on the day of the event with carts and organizational efforts.
28 event day volunteers who ensured the smooth running of two golf shotgun scrambles and a delicious BBQ lunch – all sold out events!
104 tournament players and 54 lunch only guests.
Hilton El Conquistador Resort chefs and catering staff.
Generous donations of over 30 Partners and individuals who financially supported or donated raffle prizes and snacks for the event.
The Town of Oro Valley’s Mayor, Vice Mayor and Councilmembers Mo Greene and Steve Solomon.
Local TV Channels News 4 KVOA and KOLD News 13 for their event day news coverage.
Homeowners who live adjacent to the course who provided signs, cheering and coolers of refreshments on the course for the players.
The 15 Friends volunteers, joined by the Town or Oro Valley Parks & Rec staff, who cleaned up and re-planted the Cactus Garden in front of the pro shop just days before the re-opening.
So, we helped to re-build it, and they came!!
From the bottoms of our hearts, the FOPRG Board and Advisors thanks everyone who helped make this event a huge success!
