Men's League Information & Rules

League Information   —   Updated: 5/11/2026

  • There will only be one flight since the new handicaps should allow fair competition among all golfers. The maximum handicap will be 22. We will use 95% of the calculated handicap for net play. The system uses the best 5 out of the latest 10 scores, graduated if there are fewer than 10. Three scores are required to establish a handicap. Weekly prizes funded by the league fees. Prize money will be paid out monthly.

  • Hole-in-one prize of $50.

  • Lowest 7 net scores each week. 1st-$25, 2nd-$20, 3rd-$15, 4th-$10, 5th-$10, 6th-$10, 7th-$10, with a minimum payout of $2 if there are ties for last place. If there are ties, payouts will be rounded to the nearest dollar amount. Winnings will be paid out monthly via Zelle or Venmo. Maximum payout to any individual during the season will be $100..

  • League championship tournament. Best scores for 2 weeks out of 3, scheduled for the first 3 weeks in March. Bonus payouts of 1st-$40, 2nd-$30, 3rd-$20, 4th-$10 to the combined lowest net scores.

  • Weekly prize winnings will be posted on the league website. This report will show prize payouts for the entire season.

  • A $60 fee is required to join for the entire season, $45 if you are starting in January, $35 in February and $25 in March or later. No separate fee of $30-45 to join GHIN. Our software will keep your official 9-hole handicap specific to rounds played at Pusch Ridge without the extra cost of a GHIN membership. The fee also covers the cost of drinks and chips for the season.

  • You are welcome to bring a guest at no charge if there is room in the roster.

  • Special monthly golf games will be organized by John Keeler and Jim Beltz. These most likely will include a separate entry fee. Results from these events will not affect your handicaps. These games are scheduled to be on the last Monday of each month from November to April, excluding December.

  • Scott Hunt and Steve Nelson will be coordinating lunches after play.

  • If there is a shortage of funds, we will revise some of the payouts. If there is an excess, we will increase some of the prizes, spend it on food or carry it over to next year. Income and expenses have been estimated for 72 golfers (see the budget report). A treasury report listing income and expenses is available for viewing.
